Dear Parents/Carers & Friends,
It was wonderful to see Kinder & Year 1 students return to onsite learning last week and all other students return this week. We have had 96.6% of students return and those that did notice there have been some significant changes. Some demountables have been removed, our new Hall and Middle Years Block is now open and the new walkthrough Senior Canteen is certainly a big hit. Students have enjoyed reconnecting with friends and returning to classrooms. I am very proud of the way they have settled back into learning at school.
Over the past month we have been very busy recruiting new staff for 2022. The school will grow to a student population of approx. 1380 for next year and we will be bringing on approx. 18 new staff. Families with students in Kindergarten - Yr 11
Dear Families
The Diocese of Wollongong at MacKillop level
Every year the Diocese of Wollongong conducts trials for a variety of sports. Students who are successful with these trials represent the Diocese of Wollongong at MacKillop level (against elite students from Wagga, Canberra/Goulburn, Sydney and Parramatta) and if selected, may represent at the NSWPSSA state level as a member of the MacKillop team.
Students are required to be experienced players and extremely talented at their chosen sport. The trials are not gala days or school-based carnivals. They have not been designed for students "to come and try" or "for the experience"; they are for students who are elite at their sport and expect to make it to the next level.
If you would like to nominate your child, please read through the information and fill in the survey on Compass Insights that has been previously sent out. Nominations are due by this Friday, the 29th of October, 2021.
If you have any questions regarding the trials, please email Mrs Crescini on jillian.crescini@dow.catholic.
For any further enquiries please contact Mrs Crescini via email jillian.crescini@dow.catholic.
