Year 12 class for 2022
St Francis is a diverse learning community and in 2022, 35 students choose their own path to complete Year 12. Whether they selected an ATAR or HSC+ pathway, each person’s journey was unique. Their chosen learning path played to their strengths. It engaged their interest and passion to help them succeed.
The class of 2022 demonstrated resilience and determination throughout their learning journey. Despite the fact that two of their final three years of school had extended lockdowns within them, they emerged to lead the College with a positive attitude. They rallied together to build a culture of pride and cohesion.
Our inaugural HSC class should be proud of their achievements.
- 6% of students were able to achieve a Band 6 result (90+)
- 42% of courses were above the State mean
- Band 4, 5 and 6 results accounted for 67.7% of the candidature
The Class of 2022 found their success in very different ways. Whilst many secured places at universities, others commenced apprenticeships in various trades. Whatever path our Year 12 students chose, it is important to remember that they leave the college with much more than just a mark or rank. The journey that brought each student to this point has been far more valuable.
I congratulate the HSC Class of 2022 on their achievements and wish them all the best in their future endeavours. I would also like to take this opportunity to acknowledge and give thanks to the outstanding commitment of staff and the tireless support of parents and carers during their child’s learning journey.
Curriculum Overviews and Parent Information Sessions
A reminder that K-6 Curriculum Overviews and videos were shared with parents/carers last week. I ask that you take the time to read through them carefully and watch the videos as a significant amount of important information is provided. This week (Week 4), there are compulsory information nights for Year 10 (6.00pm) and Year 11 (7.30pm) on Wednesday evening and Year 7 (6.00pm) and Year 9 (7.30pm) on Thursday evening. I look forward to seeing you at these meetings.
Mrs Rita Agostino
Assistant Principal - Teaching and Learning
