VET subjects are elective courses available to our Year 11 and 12 students with a career focus on various pathways and opportunities for employment and learning within the industry. As part of our course, students are required to complete mandatory work placement in the studied industry to provide our students with relevant work experiences and an insight into the workforce. In partnership with MWLP-Linking Youth, students are assisted in linking connections to employees in the area.

MWLP caters to schools across the Macarthur region and from a variety of educational settings including the private, public and Catholic sectors. In their growing partnerships, MWLP is recognising a number of students from a wide range of VET frameworks to acknowledge the outstanding impacts students are having in the industry.

I am very pleased to advise you that Dominik K of Year 12 2022 has been nominated and shortlisted for the Award of Work Placement Student of the Year for his work placement undertaken during 2022 for VET studies in Construction. 

The nomination came from his host employer impressed with Dominik’s overall commitment and involvement during the work placement. 

He will undergo an interview process, with his achievements being acknowledged at an awards ceremony in the coming weeks. We wish Dominik all the best.
