K-4 Numeracy Information Evening
A big THANK YOU to all of the parents and staff who attended our K-4 Numeracy Information Evening on Wednesday 27th March. It was wonderful to see our staff and parents come together to discuss the role of Numeracy in children's lives and the strategies we can implement both at school and at home to support them.
All presentations from the evening can now be accessed via the College Website under “Academic Life” and then “Junior Years Learning (K-4)”.We appreciate the time taken to provide feedback on the evening and we are so pleased that the night was such a success!
Quotes from some parents on the night include:
“The session was very helpful!” - Year 3 Parent
“This session was very helpful. Thank you for your time. I liked the examples shared as I have studied overseas and although the concept is the same (maths being universal) the terminology used in class is very different to how I learnt Maths.” - Year 2 Parent
“Very informative, useful and practical. Good tips to use Mathematics with kids in daily life.” - Year 2 Parent
“Numeracy information evening was awesome and was full of information. Thanks” - Year 1 Parent
“Found this useful as I think that as adults we too sometimes have to get back to the basics to help give them the foundation :)” - Kindergarten Parent
“Very helpful, it gave me more ideas for helping my daughter have fun with Maths. Good job!” - Kindergarten Parent
Watch this space for more Numeracy opportunities later in the year!
