In Middle Years Learning at St. Francis, the College focuses on developing the essential attributes of its students in Middle Years Learners. One of these attributes focuses on "success skills". Self-management is a vital success skill.

As a part of the dedicated Pastoral Care time, this term Year Seven has commenced a Self-Management Skill Development Program which is being jointly run by Ms. Kolar (Leader of Middle Years Learning), Mrs. Lyons (Transition and Pathways Specialist/Diverse Learning), and the Year Seven Pastoral Care team. The aim of this program will be to help students with managing their workload and will involve them in creating term planners, using their College Diaries effectively, learning how to chunk assessment tasks into daily and weekly tasks, and learning how to organise Gmail and Drive. Our wonderful Middle Years Learning Building and its operable doors provided an excellent space for this workshop to take place.
