In 2019, our SEALS Committee teamed up with WOODiWiLD to establish the SFCC micro-forest in Aussie farmland. WOODiWiLD was created with the sole purpose of re-planting trees on farms across Australia to provide habitat for our threatened wildlife and to help address climate change.

WOODiWiLD kicked off in 2019 and needs our help to meet their goal to plant 1 million trees over the next decade. At SFCC, we are committed in supporting WOODiWiLD to build a sustainable and healthy ecosystem for the future.

So far, SFCC has planted 147 trees. We set our target of 400 planted trees in 2019 and are hoping our forest grows even closer to that total in 2022.

The SFCC micro-forest is located just outside of Wagga Wagga supporting the regeneration of trees in our local environment. All you need to do is purchase a tree for $12 and our school will receive $4 for every tree purchased in the SFCC Forest. You will be asked to name the tree and will receive a unique map reference for you to see, and follow, the growth of the tree.
