We at St Francis Catholic College acknowledge the Dharawal people, the Traditional Custodians who have walked upon and cared for this land for thousands of years. We acknowledge the continued deep spiritual attachment and relationship of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to this country and commit ourselves to the ongoing journey of Reconciliation.

The College is excited to announce the appointment of Allira Giles-Gregory to the role of Aboriginal Education Assistant. Allira will work one day a week (Wednesday) alongside Miss Lauren Meli (Aboriginal Contact Teacher) and Mr. Matthew Watson (Aboriginal Contact Teacher). Hello St Francis Students and Parents,

My Name is Allira Giles-Gregory and I am a Nyul Nyul, Bardi and Kija woman from the Kimberlies in Western Australia. I have a strong passion for bush medicine, natural and cultural ways of cooking as well as the traditional ways of living on this beautiful land. I spend most of my free time and weekends out in nature camping, fishing, snorkelling or just enjoying the landscape. I am really happy to be working at St Francis as the Aboriginal Education Assistant and am very eager to bring the culture to life.
