Hello Parents and Carers, 

It is with great excitement and pleasure that I announce that Nerayo S of 6 RED received one of the significant awards at the virtual ceremony for the Catholic Education Office - Christmas Story Art 2022 Competition.

Nerayo received Peter Hill's Director of Schools - Christmas Story Award for his work 'Mary's Fiat'. 

Mr Peter Hill spoke of Nerayo's vibrant and bold use of colour. He also spoke of how he connected with the piece on a personal level as it explored the notion of venturing into the unknown. Nerayo's work was highly original, innovative and emotive.

We as a CAPA team look forward to 2022 with excitement and hope. It will be a great year with our first CAPA Yr 12 cohorts graduating in both Drama and Music. We also look forward to re-engaging students with our suite of co-curricular activities. When these are announced early next year, I urge you to encourage your child/ren to get involved. We will have ensembles across the Middle and Senior years that will encompass all of the arts and perhaps a few things that are rarely offered in schools too!
