Over 100 students, aged from 7 – 14, have successfully engaged with the challenging tasks of thinking critically, creatively and reflectively with this year’s conceptual unit for SPLICED, “The Power of the Imaginative Mind – Exploring possibilities through multidimensional thinking.

Every student, from their high interests and passions, have produced multiple literacy bodies of work from manifestos to podcasts, videos to digital collages, research papers to essays, poetry to storytelling, musings, artworks and speeches. Over forty literacies are represented and published on the SPLICED 2021 website and book.

The student work presented the categories of Global Issues, History, Human Living, Philosophy, Psychology, Science, Fantasy, Spirituality, Sport, Technology, The Arts and Humanities and War.

The Video Launch of the Website and Book, and the acknowledgement of student achievement will become live on Wednesday 8 December at 7:00pm. The video can be viewed on the SPLICED Website Home Page: https://spliced2021.dow.catholic.edu.au/.

We acknowledge the hard work and commitment of all the facilitating teachers who, despite the obstacles of lockdowns and remote learning, ensured this opportunity was engaging and enjoyable for all the participating students.
