Hello Parents/Carers,

All classes did a great job of engaging with this task under trying circumstances. The Stage 3 Creative Arts team are proud of the work the students completed, well done stage 3!

The Catholic Education Office has announced the Christmas Story Art Finalists for 2021. I am pleased to announce that the following student made it to the official finals…. Drum roll please!......

Congratulations to Nerayo!

This year the top 39 artworks were chosen from the artworks entered into the competition to be a part of the Virtual Exhibition. Those chosen were works that were judged to best respond to the criteria and were exemplary of Stage 3 reflective writing and artistic skills.

Judging took place at the Marian Centre last week on Wednesday 27 October by a team of judges.

On other CAPA news, year 12 are well and truly on their way! It is important that you keep an open dialogue going with your child in regards to their commitment to Music &/ Drama if they are taking these subject/s as a HSC course. As you know both require major commitments to their Individual Project (Drama) and Performance pieces (Music). It is important that your child keeps up to date with goal setting and chunking of assessment tasks. On the music front, Ms Bugge’ is very impressed with the year 12 cohorts progress on their song choices for their performance &/ elective choices. Well done, year 12 Music!

As the conclusion of term 4 is coming up quite quickly, I would like to thank you for your support of the Arts at SFCC this year. We look forward to providing a plethora of opportunities for you child across all Arts domains in 2021 both inside and outside of the classroom.

Yours in Creativity,
Ms Allen
