Year 1 Excursion - NSW Schoolhouse Museum
On Friday 31st October, Year 1 students excitedly visited the NSW Schoolhouse Museum. They had a wonderful day exploring artefacts from the past, experiencing past school life, playing olden day games and learning all about life in the olden days.
My favourite part of the excursion was when we were writing with the ink pen and when we wrote with the rock pencil. - Vivian, 1 Blue
On Friday 30th October, we learnt how to write in cursive writing. Secondly, we all had to do a secret treasure hunt looking for objects from the past. Thirdly, we all got to do a class dance with a ribbon. Then we got to do activities. They were fly, quoits and hula hoops. Lastly we had lunch and went on the bus to school.
- Marcus, 1 Green
On our excursion, I explored the 1910 classroom. It was very fun.
We did a fun treasure hunt. I also played old fun outdoor games.
Lastly, I wrote fancy writing with ink and a slate pencil and that was so fun.
After the excursion, I appreciate my class more. But of course, I had fun.
My favourite part was the game fly, the fun treasure hunt, wand exercising and the ribbon dance. But the fancy writing was very hard. - Tiffany, 1 Red
All students were a credit to our College, displaying beautiful manners and positive behaviour.
