We also received an email from the 1st Camden South Scout Group during the week regarding one of our students, Lachlan C, who recently received a very special award. 

Please see the following email from the leader of the Joey Scouts:-

To whom it may concern,

I am one of the Joey Scout Leaders from 1st Camden South Scout Group (Engesta Avenue, Camden South).

It is with greatest pleasure that I share with you - that your student Lachlan Chamberlain received a very prestigious award "Joey Promise Challenge." It was awarded by Sandy Schofield Hume’s Regional Commissioner of Joey Scouts on Tuesday 24th September 2019.

This is a very significant award, that not every member of scouting will achieve. It involves self reflection on his journey in scouting and following the scout law and promise in his life.

Lachlan is a remarkable young man who has embraced scouting. He has accepted changes and challenges, and has even battled a fear of heights head on with his scouting friends. He has also displayed great leadership skills as a patrol leader, and as a member of our group in general.  He was kind enough to lead us in prayer one last time before continuing his scouting journey into cubs.

Please celebrate his achievement with him, he underestimates how amazing he really is.
