This year marked the very first time St Francis Catholic College has implemented the Prime Minister’s Spelling Bee initiative for our Year 3 and 4 students, and the enthusiasm was inspiring. An incredible 102 students eagerly put their hands up to participate in the first round of this national competition. 

While the competition was underway, the remaining students engaged in a range of fun and challenging spelling activities, ensuring that everyone had the opportunity to strengthen their word knowledge and enjoy the spirit of the event.

We are very proud to announce that the following students were successful in progressing to the State/Territory Finals of the Prime Minister’s Spelling Bee 2025:

Mikaela A – 3B, Scarlett F – 3R, Liam J – 4R, Chloe K – 4B, Zach P – 4G

Unfortunately, we did not have anyone that was successful to participate in the National Round. Nonetheless, this is an outstanding achievement, and we congratulate these students on their dedication, confidence, and spelling expertise. They made the College very proud!
