MISA

MISA Dance Festival

The MISA Dance Team has spent the past two terms working with focus and dedication to prepare for this year’s MISA Dance Festival. Students trained consistently each week, learning and refining an energetic hip hop routine.

The final piece, an eight-minute group performance, showcased not only their technical skill but also their growth in confidence, coordination, and stage presence. Representing our college alongside 13 other schools in the regional festival, the team performed with professionalism and enthusiasm.

Their performance on the day was exceptional. The choreography was delivered with precision and impact, and the group presented themselves with maturity and pride on stage. It was a rewarding culmination of months of effort and collaboration.

We are extremely proud of the team and commend them on their outstanding performance.

MISA 11-12 Boys Soccer – A Season of Spirit and Sportsmanship

This term, our Year 11 and 12 students proudly represented St Francis Catholic College in the MISA 11-12 Boys Soccer competition. Although the season didn’t deliver the scoreboard results we had hoped for, it was a valuable experience filled with teamwork, resilience, and strong school spirit.

The team faced tough competition each week but consistently demonstrated determination, positivity, and commitment. Their ability to persevere through challenges and continue showing up with enthusiasm highlighted the core values of our college community.

A special mention goes to our Year 12 students, for whom this was their final MISA season. Their leadership, camaraderie, and sportsmanship were evident and inspirational, creating memorable moments for the team. Congratulations to the team on their efforts, and best wishes to our graduating players.

On Friday the 13th of June, 11 of our talented students proudly represented SFCC at the Wollongong Dioceses Netball Competition. Competing in nine challenging games, the team showed incredible determination, teamwork, and sportsmanship, securing an impressive seven wins!

Diocesan 9-10 Netball Championships

The Year 9-10 Diocesan Netball Team, proudly represented the College with pride and enthusiasm. Game after game, they faced tough opponents who tested their skills, however, the girls never gave up and came off the court with a smile on their face each game. Their teamwork improved with each match, and they never let the scoreboard define their effort. They showed resilience, played with heart, and supported each other through every high and low.

Even without a win, the day was filled with laughter, learning, and fun. The girls encouraged one another constantly, celebrated small victories, and kept the mood positive throughout. Each match taught them something new - about teamwork, resilience, and staying positive under pressure. The girls enjoyed the day and showed pride in their effort, and the memory of a fun-filled day that brought them closer together as a team.

I would also like to thank Genevieve M, who came along to support the team and umpired the whole day. Your time and effort were greatly appreciated, and your presence helped make the day such a positive and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.
