Holy Week - Chrism Mass
During the holidays, our College Captains Thalia and Jamie alongside Mrs Pearce attended the Diocese of Wollongong Chrism Mass.
The Chrism Mass is a special liturgical celebration in the Catholic Church, held during Holy Week, where the Bishop Mascord blesses the sacred oils used in the sacraments throughout the year. These include the Oil of the Sick, the Oil of Catechumens, and the Sacred Chrism, which is consecrated with fragrant balsam. Priests from across the diocese gather to renew their vows, highlighting the unity of the clergy with their bishop and the wider Church.
It’s a powerful expression of the Church’s sacramental life and pastoral mission.
