NSWCCC Swimming Championships - Student Success

Congratulations to our talented students who proudly represented St Francis Catholic College at the NSWCCC Swimming Championships held on Wednesday 2nd and Thursday 3rd of April at Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre. Over the two days of competition, five of our Secondary students showcased their dedication and swimming skills against some of the best in the state.

A special mention goes to Luchio K, who competed in four events and placed 4th in two – narrowly missing qualification for the NSW All Schools.

Jewel Maddison A demonstrated outstanding effort across six events, also just missing out on progressing to the next level.

Violet V and Nicholas C each represented the College and Diocese in one event, doing us proud with their performances.

Primary Athletics Carnival

On Monday, K-6 went to the Narellan Sports Hub for our Athletics Carnival. We had a bunch of fun activities to complete throughout the day and we could compete in certain events. The most popular event was the 100m race. Both competitive and non-competitive students got ribbons if they placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd. It was very fun and collaborative because we needed everyones' help to have fun and stay safe.

People were cheering on their friends and showing House spirit. We got to eat lunch with our parents and we also could have invited our friends to join us! Many students and teachers also dressed up to represent their house colour. Before the end of the carnival we had a teacher, parent, student relay. It was so exciting and students won!!! We were all cheering so much!

When we got back to the College, everyone rested from this fun day. It was not like any other Athletics Carnival. It took the teachers a bunch of hard work and dedication to plan this event.
