Year 12 Investigating Science Excursion to ANSTO
On Monday, 10th of March, Year 12 Investigating Science went on an excursion to the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation (ANSTO) at Lucas Heights. ANSTO is a statutory body of the Australian Government and is responsible for nuclear research and the production of radioisotopes for nuclear medicine.
Year 12 Investigating Science went to ANSTO to engage in Science education through learning resources, tours and presentations, gaining insights into nuclear science and technology and exploring potential STEM careers. Additionally, the excursion helped students prepare for their upcoming assessment task, encouraging them to creatively communicate real-world applications of Science and Technology.
