On Thursday 27th June, students from Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 attended the Primary Netball Gala Day.

The Netball Gala Day was held at the Minto netball courts and each team played 7 games.  Each team tried their best and showed improvement in their skills. Some of the teams even won a game or two. Well done Senior boys!

The students who attended made St Francis proud by displaying sportsmanship and teamwork.  By the end of the gala day we were exhausted but it was a fun filled day that was enjoyed by all who attended.

We would like to thank all the Year 7 and 8 umpires, parents and teachers who came on the day to help and support.

We also had one of our girls Under 12 team parents present on the day, who has provided a report, please see below.

Parent Report - U/12's Girls Team

I was so very proud of our girls representing St Francis. They followed the umpires direction and behaved with such pride to represent their school. All of the girls shook hands with the opposition team without prompting and congratulated them on the result. They did an amazing job, with only one of the students playing netball outside of school.

All the girls were wonderful however I just wanted to mention a few outstanding performances.  Emily who plays on the weekend, was a leader on the court, and gave the girls positive guidance on & off the court.  Karina who rolled her ankle in the first game of the day, persisted & contributed to the team for the remainder of the day. Heba who showed natural skill and pushed herself to be the best for the team (she really was amazing).
