JUNIOR YEARS MATHEMATICS
Mathematics, rightly viewed, possesses not only truth, but supreme beauty."
- Bertrand Russell
The 2025 Puzzle below is a fun back to school challenge that will test your spatial reasoning skills. You need to arrange strips (a bit like a jigsaw) to create an image showing the number 2025. You can download and print the task at home or you can email Mrs Jeymour (kylie.jeymour@dow.catholic.edu.au) to ask her to print one for you.
As we embark on an exciting new year of learning, our young Mathematicians in the Junior Years have been immersing themselves in the beauty of Mathematics. They have spent time getting to know their teacher, understanding classroom expectations and routines, and showcasing their unique strengths as Maths learners. From exploring number patterns to sharing problem-solving strategies, they are already demonstrating curiosity and a willingness to challenge themselves. We are looking forward to a year of growth and mathematical wonder!
