CDF Stage 3 Public Speaking Competition
The Catholic Development Fund proudly supports the CDF Stage 3 Public Speaking Competition, where our talented students, Abigail (Year 6) and Henry (Year 5), represented our College at the regional level. Both these students blew the adjudicators away, with Abigail coming 1st and Henry coming 2nd.
Due to their success in the previous round, both students made the CDF Public Speaking Grand final which took place on the 7th November. They did an incredible job and were highly commended for the impressive caliber of their speeches.
Henry, from Year 5, received nothing but positive feedback on his speech from spectators and the adjudicators. His sportsmanship needs to be commended; as disappointed as he was that he didn't place, he took a couple of minutes to process the news, then went up to every single other speaker, congratulating them on their speeches.
It is with great excitement that Abigail from Year 6 WON the entire competition. This is a massive achievement and her speech was the clear stand out.
This competition only started back up in 2022, and St Francis has won the Year 6 CDF Competition three years in a row!
