On Friday 6th September the MISA chess team made their way to John Therry for a tournament against other Catholic and Independent schools. The tournament is round robin style with each team consisting of 4 players. The senior team members were Akilanth A, Naga A, Dylan C and Ethan N. The junior team members were Ritesh C, Jeremy G, Johny O and Dylan R.

The games throughout the tournament were very intense, requiring a great deal of concentration. The senior team played well coming in 3rd at the end of the tournament by 0.5 points. Unfortunately the last round had to be cancelled due to schools needing to leave to make it back for dismissal. The junior team fought very hard, finishing the day in 6th place against some tough opposition.

The team had a great day out and enjoyed every moment. Looking forward to more improvement next year.
