As part of learning about the industry, year 11 Hospitality Students hosted a service period in the Breezeway Cafe

to say 'Thanks a Brunch!' to the hardworking staff of St Francis.

The classes simulated a cafe service in which staff were greeted and served with a themed menu. This presented an opportunity for our learners to be engaged with real customer service experiences and saw students catering for a variety of requests and dietary requirements as they would in industry. Students were tasked to plate and serve the food to our staff, ensuring every plate and beverage served was up to standard- and wow did they deliver! One staff member even commented that the Breezeway Cafe was 'Better than her local cafe'. 

A huge thank you to our staff for supporting this initiative, with special thanks to Mrs Lawrence, Ms Velevksi, Mrs Fenech & Mrs Russell for your support throughout these events. Last but definitely not least, congratulations go out to our students for their enthusiasm and quality service throughout the experience. If this is any indication as to what our students are capable of, the future is definitely in good hands!
