This year we also saw the introduction of the first external scholarship Program offered through The Australian Catholic University - which coincidentally is called the Step Up into Teaching Program, offering Yr 11 students the opportunity to fast track their careers in teaching. CEO has sponsored the following  6 students to participate in this program:

Alanah B- Magdalene Catholic College (absent)

Nyandier D - Mount Carmel Catholic College

Christina K - St Francis Catholic College

Dakota L- St Benedict's Catholic College

Courtney M- Corpus Christi Catholic College

These students have already successfully completed  2 units of the first year’s teaching degree which grants them automatic admission into a teaching degree at ACU in 2025 and significantly lessens their workload in the first year of their degree. This opportunity also provided them with some great insights into university life and has greatly assisted in preparing them for a career in teaching.
